How to read your campaign statistics

Applies to: Advertisers · Optional feature — available when your network has it switched on

At the end of this guide you can answer the everyday questions about your campaigns — what did each campaign spend and deliver, which countries, sites or ad zones convert, which creative or landing page wins — and save the views you use most. For every metric and option, see Advertiser Statistics.

Before you start#

  • An advertiser account with Statistics in the menu.
  • At least one campaign that has run. Statistics for the most recent hour or two can still be filling in.

Steps#

Load a report#

  1. Open Statistics.
  2. Pick the Date range — a preset such as yesterday or the last 7 days, or your own dates.
  3. Under Group By, tick the dimensions that split the rows — e.g. Date and Campaign, or Country. Tick several to cross-tabulate.
  4. With Date ticked, set the Date Group: Day, Day / Hour, Week, Month or Summary.
  5. Click Search. The table and chart fill in.

Narrow it down#

  1. Click Add Filters to limit the report — for example to one campaign, a country, a device type or an ad type — then click Search again.
  2. Click a column header to sort by it, e.g. Paid or CTR (%).

See conversions#

  1. Open Metrics and switch on the conversion columns — your network's conversion types, plus Total Conversions. CPA shows what each conversion cost you.

Break it down#

  1. Click View Details on a row (for example one day or one campaign) and choose a breakdown: By Campaign, By Adzone, By Country, By Domain, By OS, By Browser, By ISP, By SubID, By SID1–SID5, By Creative Pool Item or By URL Pool Item.
  2. In a breakdown you can tick rows and use Add to filter to block or allow-list them straight away. See How to block or allow-list domains, ad zones, sub-IDs and IPs.

Save, export, share#

  1. Saved Filters — once the report looks right, save it under a name. Next time, pick it from Saved Filters and click Search.
  2. Export — download the table, or the breakdown you're looking at, as a CSV file.
  3. Share — create a link that shows this report to someone without an account. See How to share a report.

Check it worked#

  • The totals row matches what you expect for the period, e.g. Paid roughly equals your daily budget times the number of days.
  • A saved filter reappears under Saved Filters after you reload the page.
