Ad Shop
Applies to: Advertisers · Optional feature — available when your network has it switched on
The Ad Shop lets you buy traffic the way you'd shop a catalogue: pick the format, country, device and audience you want, see what it costs and how much of it there is, and check out. The network works out which inventory fulfils your order and builds the campaigns for you.
What this is#
Instead of hunting for individual ad zones, you shop by targeting. Every row in the catalogue is an opportunity — a combination of ad format, pay type, country, device and category, with a rate and an estimate of weekly volume. Select the rows you want, review the plan, and the Ad Shop creates the matching campaigns in your account.
You never pick publishers or zone IDs. That's deliberate: you describe the audience you want, and the network assembles the supply.
When you'll use this#
- You're new to the network and don't yet know which inventory performs.
- You want a specific geo/device/format combination and don't want to build the targeting by hand.
- You want a quick read on what a given audience costs and how much of it exists.
- You want to reserve inventory for a fixed period rather than bidding for it.
Step by step#
Shop for inventory#
- Open Ad Shop from the advertiser menu.
- Narrow the catalogue with the filters at the top — Ad Format, Pay Type, Country, Device, Category — or type in the search box.
- Read each row: the Rate, the estimated Weekly Views and Weekly Clicks, the Supply, and the Status.
- Optionally use Group by to fold the catalogue into the dimensions you care about (say, country then format). Grouped rows show the number of opportunities, total volume and a volume-weighted average rate, and you can select a whole group at once.
- Tick the rows you want. The count of selected opportunities is shown as you go.
Check out#
- Click Review selection.
- The review shows how your selection will be organised into campaigns. A selection that spans very different targeting is split into several campaigns so each one stays coherent.
- Click Create campaigns.
- The campaigns are created paused. Open each one to add your creatives and set a budget, then activate it — see Creating a Campaign.
Nothing serves and nothing is spent until you finish the campaign and switch it on. Creating the order is not the same as launching it.
Buy a flat placement instead#
- With rows selected, choose Buy this selection flat for a date range.
- Pick a From and To date.
- The price is calculated from the same volume estimate, but reserves the inventory for the whole period instead of charging per impression or click.
- If part of the selection is already booked for those dates, the conflict is listed — adjust the dates or the selection.
Options reference#
Catalogue columns#
| Column | What it tells you |
|---|---|
| Ad Format | The creative format the inventory takes. |
| Country | Where the audience is. |
| Device | Desktop, mobile, tablet, and so on. |
| Rate | The price for this opportunity, in the pay type shown. Rows marked HOT PRICE are priced below the usual level. |
| Weekly Views / Weekly Clicks | Estimated volume per week, based on recent measured traffic. |
| Supply | How many underlying sources make up the opportunity. |
| Status | Whether you can buy it now — see below. |
Statuses#
| Status | What it means |
|---|---|
| Available now | Buy it and the campaign can start immediately. |
| Subject to auction | The inventory is bought competitively — your rate is a bid, not a guarantee. |
| Activation within 1 working day | The order is placed now and set up manually shortly after. |
| Reserved | Already booked, typically by a flat purchase. |
| Temporarily unavailable | Not sellable right now. |
| Expired | The opportunity is out of date; regenerate the view or pick another row. |
| Upon request | No published rate — contact your account manager. |
Grouping#
| Control | What it does |
|---|---|
| Group by | Fold rows into one or more dimensions (format, country, device, category, pay type). |
| + Add dimension | Add another level of grouping. |
| Move outward / inward | Reorder the grouping levels. |
| Expand / Collapse | Open or close a group. |
| Complete group | Select every opportunity inside a group at once. |
| Clear grouping | Return to the flat list. |
Example#
Testing a new market. Lena wants to try mobile pop traffic in Spain before committing budget.
- She opens the Ad Shop and filters to Country: Spain, Device: Mobile, Ad Format: Pop.
- She groups by Pay Type to compare CPM and CPC rates side by side, and sees roughly 400k weekly views available at a CPM she's happy with.
- She ticks the CPM rows marked Available now and clicks Review selection — the plan shows one campaign.
- She clicks Create campaigns, opens the new paused campaign, uploads two creatives, sets a $200 daily budget and activates it.
- A few days later she checks advertiser statistics and decides whether to buy more of the same.
Tips#
- Weekly volume is an estimate, drawn from recent measured traffic. Treat it as a planning figure, not a guarantee.
- Group before you select. A grouped view makes it obvious where the volume and the good rates actually are.
- Don't select everything. A very broad selection turns into several campaigns you then have to manage individually.
- Finish the campaign the same day you order it. A paused campaign with no creatives is easy to forget.
- Use flat purchases for campaigns that must run, such as a dated promotion — auction-based buying can't guarantee delivery.
- "Subject to auction" means you still compete. A low bid will simply not fill.
Troubleshooting#
| Symptom | Likely cause | Fix |
|---|---|---|
| "No inventory has been published yet" | The network hasn't generated a catalogue snapshot | Contact your account manager |
| "No matching inventory" | Filters are too narrow | Remove a filter, starting with Category |
| My selection disappeared at checkout | An opportunity expired or was reserved between selecting and ordering | Reload the catalogue and re-select |
| The flat purchase reports conflicts | Part of the selection is already booked for those dates | Change the dates, or drop the conflicting rows |
| Campaigns were created but nothing serves | They are created paused, with no creatives and no budget | Open each campaign, add creatives and budget, then activate |
| The rate says "Upon request" | That inventory isn't publicly priced | Ask your account manager for a quote |
| The Ad Shop isn't in my menu | It isn't enabled for your account | Ask your account manager |
