A full-featured ad platform has a lot of settings. The campaign form alone has more than forty optional blocks, from day parting and retargeting to IP pools, XML feeds and digital screens. Someone who runs a handful of banner campaigns needs only a few of them, and has to scroll past the rest every time. Now every member can choose which options their forms show: all of them, a short Essentials set, or exactly the ones they use. Nothing is switched off; the form just gets shorter.

Three forms, one Options button
The chooser is on the three longest forms in the panel:
- The campaign form, including the ads step: budgets and limits, targeting, scheduling and capping, filters, and the extras on each ad such as a URL pool, impression tracking, keywords per ad or countries per ad.
- Ad zone settings: format-specific options such as native fonts and colours, video skip and rewarded settings, pop frequency, floater margins, plus the country, browser and device filters, the Properties cards and the Own Ads, Smart Zones and External Source tabs.
- The Smart Zone form: visitor capping, daily cap, ad scanning, referrer stopwords, email rules, notes, device types and keyword targeting.
Click Options in the form header. The dialog offers two presets, All options and Essentials, and a checkbox per option group. A group is a switch plus the fields it unlocks, so hiding Frequency Capping hides the toggle and the capping fields together.
What Essentials keeps
Essentials is a starting point for members who want the shortest form that still does the job:
- On the campaign form: daily and campaign budget, device types, operating systems and browsers, start and end date, day parting, frequency capping, tags, categories and rating. On the ads step only the display URL stays from the extras.
- On ad zone settings, native styling and the video skip button stay; the advanced options of the other formats are hidden.
- On the Smart Zone form, the visitor cap and the daily cap stay.
Pick Essentials and then tick back the one or two groups you need, and the dialog shows your choice as a custom set.
You never lose sight of a live setting
Hiding an option only changes what the form draws. A few rules make sure it can't hide something that matters:
- Settings in use always show. If a campaign uses day parting or a zone has a domain list, that block appears on that record even when you hid it. Only empty, unused options are left out.
- Required fields can't be hidden. The campaign name, format and pricing, and a zone's name, type, size and website, are always there.
- Each section says what it hides. A short line such as 3 options hidden sits under the section, with Show all options for this visit and Choose options to change the set.
- New options appear. Your choice stores what you hid, not what you kept, so an option added to the platform later shows up for you too. And feature tips point you to a hidden option your account could use but never has.
- A step with nothing left in it drops out of the campaign wizard, so a short form is also a shorter wizard.
Validation, the review step and the AI form fill still work with the full form behind the scenes, and the API keeps every field: hiding an option in the panel changes nothing for scripts or agents using the API.
A default for the whole platform
The platform operator can set what new members start with, separately for the campaign form, ad zone settings and the Smart Zone form, in the admin settings under Menu Layout. A self-serve network can open every form on Essentials for its advertisers and publishers; an ad manager team that uses everything can leave all options on. It is a default, not a lock: each member can still open Options and choose their own set, which then replaces the platform default for them.
Why it helps
A shorter form is quicker to fill in and easier to learn. New advertisers see a campaign form they can finish without wondering what an adzone ranking or a subscription age is, while experienced media buyers keep every lever. Publishers set up a zone without scrolling through the options of formats they don't run. Support questions about settings nobody needed go down too.
Where to find it
Open a campaign, an ad zone or a Smart Zone and click Options in the header. How the forms themselves work is in the manual: Create a campaign, Ad zones and Smart Zones. More about the campaign side is on the ad management page, and about zones that pick the best-paying source per visitor on the SmartZones page.
