GoAdserver Introduces MCP Connectivity for ChatGPT, Claude, and Other Compatible AI Assistants
The new connection allows authorized AI assistants to access selected GoAdserver information and operational tools while preserving API key permissions, resource restrictions, and account controls.

GoAdserver (GAS) has introduced support for the Model Context Protocol (MCP), allowing authorized GoAdserver accounts to connect with compatible versions of ChatGPT, Claude, and other MCP clients.
The connection gives users a new way to work with selected GoAdserver information and supported account functions through natural-language conversations. Users can ask an AI assistant to retrieve data, review performance, inspect campaigns and advertising inventory, or carry out authorized management actions.
MCP does not replace the GoAdserver control panel or REST API. It provides an additional interface for accessing specific GoAdserver functions through compatible AI assistants.

Performance and reporting
Users can retrieve authorized campaign and publisher inventory statistics and organize the results by dimensions such as date, site, campaign, or ad space when supported by the corresponding tool.

The assistant can list campaigns, retrieve campaign details, inspect associated ads, and return the information exposed by the available MCP tools.
Users can review campaign status, targeting information, budgets, bids, schedules, devices, countries, and other supported settings when those fields are available.

When the connected API key has the required write permissions, the assistant can use supported tools to pause or resume campaigns and ads.
A read-only API key cannot access these write operations.
Budgets and bids
The assistant can retrieve supported budget and bid information. If the API key includes the corresponding write scopes, available MCP tools can also be used to update those values.
All changes remain subject to GoAdserver permissions and validation rules.
Inventory and implementation
Users can list and inspect authorized sites and ad spaces. The assistant can also retrieve implementation code for supported ad spaces when the corresponding tool is available.
This helps publishers and technical teams locate the correct advertising code without manually navigating through multiple account sections.
Account information
The MCP connection can provide access to supported account-level information, including the account balance, when the required tool is enabled and authorized for the connected API key.
Security and permission controls
The GoAdserver MCP connection uses an API key with Bearer authentication. The key must be explicitly enabled for AI assistant access before it can connect to an MCP client.
The available tools are filtered according to the permissions assigned to that API key.
Read-only access
A read-only API key can retrieve authorized information but cannot make changes to the account.
Write tools are not exposed through MCP unless the connected key has the corresponding write permissions. This allows companies to create reporting and monitoring connections without permitting changes to campaigns, ads, budgets, bids, or inventory.
Write access
Write functions are only available when the API key includes the required write scopes.
Companies can therefore maintain separate MCP connections for reporting and operational management.
Resource restrictions
API keys can be restricted to specific campaigns or ad spaces.
These restrictions limit the AI assistant to the resources required for its intended purpose instead of providing access to the entire GoAdserver account.
Existing GoAdserver controls remain active
MCP does not provide permissions beyond those available through the GoAdserver API.
An AI assistant cannot bypass API scopes, resource restrictions, account permissions, or software validation rules. Every MCP operation is processed according to the authorization assigned to the connected key.
Separate MCP rate limit
MCP tool calls use a rate limit separate from the standard REST API limit.
This prevents normal AI assistant activity from consuming the request capacity assigned to other REST API integrations.
Compatibility and connection
The GoAdserver MCP endpoint uses JSON-RPC 2.0 over HTTP. It can be connected to compatible AI assistants and MCP clients that support the required connection and authentication methods.
The basic connection process includes:
- Creating a dedicated API key in GoAdserver.
- Assigning the required read or write scopes.
- Applying campaign or ad space restrictions when needed.
- Enabling the key for AI assistant access.
- Adding the GoAdserver MCP endpoint to the compatible client.
- Configuring the API key as the Bearer authentication credential.
Once connected, the client can initialize the MCP session, discover the tools available to the API key, and make individual tool calls.
GoAdserver and white-label installations may use different panel domains. The MCP endpoint must correspond to the domain of the account being connected.
