Sticky anchor and side rails

Sticky units stay on screen while the visitor reads: an anchor strip along the bottom of the screen and rails beside the page. They earn on every minute of reading time without covering a word of the content.

Everything below is live on a demo account with 15 made-up advertisers. The anchor is at the bottom of your screen right now.

DEMO 1

Sticky anchor

A full-width strip stuck to the bottom of the screen with the banner centred in it. It stays put while the visitor scrolls, never covers the content, and the tab on its edge folds it away. Two zones share the job: a 728 × 90 anchor for screens from 769 px and a 320 × 50 anchor for phones, so every visitor gets exactly one.

Zones #12512573 (desktop, 728 × 90, from 769 px) and #12512574 (phone, 320 × 50, up to 768 px) · floating banner · anchor on · refresh every 30 s on screen

Loading the anchor…

Banner refreshes so far: 0. A new banner loads after 30 seconds of time on screen; the clock stops while the tab is hidden or the anchor is folded away (try the tab on its top edge). Every new banner is a new impression.

Never covers the pageThe strip sits below the content and folds away with one tap.
One per deviceA smallest / largest screen width per zone picks the desktop or the phone size.
Refresh on real viewing time30 seconds to 5 minutes, counted only while the ad is actually seen.

DEMO 2

Side rails

Two 160 × 600 skyscrapers in the empty space left and right of a centred page. They follow the scroll and only appear on screens wide enough to have that space; on a laptop or a phone they are simply not there, so they never squeeze the content.

Zones #12512575 (left) and #12512576 (right) · floating banner · left / right middle · from 1400 px · refresh every 60 s on screen

SET UP

How to set it up

Both are ordinary banner zones with the display type Floater. In the zone's Floater Settings: switch on Anchor for the strip (pick a bottom or top position), or pick Left Middle / Right Middle for a rail; set Refresh the banner; and use Only on screens at least / at most to choose the devices. Banner campaigns of the zone's size fill it — nothing changes for advertisers.

Panel: Publisher → Ad Zones → Floater Settings · API: floater_settings.anchor, refresh_seconds, min_width, max_width
