Push ads: reach visitors after they leave

Push ads arrive as browser notifications on desktop and phone, even when your site is closed.

Below are the real push ads of a demo account with 15 made-up advertisers, drawn as notifications, and how the subscriber side works.

THE ADS

What a push ad looks like

These are the demo account's real push ads — 45 of them, from 15 made-up advertisers — shown the way browsers draw them: icon, title, text and a large image. Each ad has its own notification icon and photo. The previews change every few seconds.

Push campaigns: ad type push · CPC · one campaign per advertiser, 3 ads each

Android · notification shade

iPhone · lock screen

This page does not ask for notification permission, so these are drawings of the notifications built from the live ad data, not real pushes. Clicking a preview opens the advertiser's demo page directly; a real push click goes through the ad server first, where it is counted and paid.

HOW IT WORKS

From subscriber to paid push

Push turns visitors into an audience you can reach again after they leave, without using any space on your pages.

1. Collect subscribers

A Push ad zone gives you a small service worker for your site root and a collector script for your pages. Visitors who allow notifications become subscribers, with their source and click ID.

2. Ads fill the pushes

Delivery rules send notifications to your subscribers or a segment of them on a schedule, filled from the ad auction with push campaigns like the ones above. You can also send your own announcements.

3. Count and earn

Every push impression and click is counted per zone, source and segment in the push statistics, and you earn from the clicks.
